ATHENS Georgia fought its way into the SEC Womens Basketball Tournament Championship Game for the first time since 2004 with a win over No. 2-ranked Texas A&M on Saturday.
The No. 16-ranked Lady Bulldogs scored a 74-68 victory over the SEC regular-season champion Aggies (23-2) in the semifinals at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
Its Georgias first win over a top 5-ranked team since a victory over Stanford in the 2013 NCAA tournaments Sweet 16.
